FIT is guaranteed for 25 years by the goverment and is index linked. But in April 2012 the tariff reduces to 21.0 pence per kWh. HOW DOES IT WORK
PV collects solar energy and converts it into DC electricity. This is then sent to the inverter which converts the DC current into 240 volts AC. Our very latest Schuco panel is rated at 240 watts. A Typical installation would be 10 panels which will produce 2.400 kWhs. For every kWh your system produces, your energy supplier will pay you 43.3p up to March 31st 2012. Also you do not pay for the electricity that you generate, because you have generated it. When you consider that the average kWh you buy for around 14p shows that a considerable reduction will be made in your energy bills of the future.
